Minihan’s Chemist, established by Liam Minihan in 1955, is located at the corner of Oliver Plunkett Street and Winthrop Street, serving the needs of the people of Cork for nearly 70 years.

Today the business is operated by his nephew John Minihan and his wife Trish who took over the business in 1995.

Minihan’s has survived many changes in the retail environment and many recessions since opening, however it retains its distinctive shop front at 108 Oliver Plunkett Street (opposite the GPO).

Central to the retail life of Cork City Minihan’s operates as a traditional chemist dispensing medicines on all prescription schemes. The Pharmacy also specialises in cosmetics and is renowned for its perfumery and skincare ranges.

Since its early days Minihan’s has stocked a full range of skincare, cosmetics and perfumes from the French brand Guerlain, one of the oldest French perfume houses in the world.

As well as the customer service one gets in a local business such as Minihan’s, the Pharmacy also stocks well known skin care such as Nuxe, Pestle & Mortar, Neo Strata, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, Avene and Uriage and Perfumes like Eight and Bob, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Versace and many more.
